At Women of Efficacy, we believe that homelessness is not just a housing issue—it's a human rights issue, especially for women. Homeless women face unique and often hidden struggles that make advocacy and support not just important, but urgent. Our organization is committed to standing in the gap for women who are most vulnerable and often overlooked.

The Crisis Homeless Women Face

Unlike the more visible patterns of male homelessness, many women remain hidden—sleeping in cars, on friends’ couches, or staying in dangerous relationships to avoid life on the streets. These coping mechanisms make their struggles less visible, but no less real. Women of Efficacy works to bring visibility to these experiences and create safer pathways out of homelessness.

How Women of Efficacy Makes a Difference

Through our Homelessness and Housing Advocacy Program, we:

High Rates of Abuse and Trauma

Many homeless women are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, or other forms of trauma. Without safe and stable housing, they are at continued risk of re-victimization and exploitation.

Barriers to Health and Hygiene
